December @ ACO. - Valchromat Sideboard & Shelving Units & A 2024 Wrap Up

DECEMBER

Welcome to the final newsletter of the year, It’s been great to put these together each month as a way to share & reflect on studio projects.

This year at the workshop in Peckham, kitchen cabinets, desks, DJ booths, wardrobes, and hallway storage have all been completed and delivered to homes across London and the South East.

The ebb and flow of creative energy has been a thread throughout the year between commissions. Learning new skills - like the upholstery course I completed with Ayesha & Steph from Roads2Joya in Spring. Along with a few photo trips & camping adventures has been a helpful in renewing that energy.

Here’s a little look at what I’ve been up over the past few weeks…

As the year comes to a close, I’ve been working on two projects for a new-build home in Peckham. Mark needed a custom dining room unit to store photo albums and his collection of coins and stamps. In the living room, I designed a bespoke storage piece for his film collection and AV equipment—ideal for film and TV nights

Made from White Grey Valchromat which pairs perfectly with the polished concrete floors and dark kitchen units.

SPACES - A ROUND UP

Throughout the year ‘A Collection Of Spaces’ series has given me the opportunity to connect with makers and creatives in the spaces which they spend their time. A few familiar faces mixed with people I’ve followed for a while, has been a really nice experience and I hope to share more of these visits going forward.

UPCOMING PROJECTS

Coming up in January, I’ll be working on another project for Mark—transforming his office with a new desk and shelving to house a small library of books. The pieces will be crafted from birch plywood with terracotta Formica laminate on the faces.
