Peter Haynes is a London-based designer and maker whose practice, A Collection Of, brings together hands-on fabrication, material study and photography. Working across furniture, storage solutions and homeware, he creates bespoke pieces for the home, the outdoors and the everyday journeys in between.

Usefulness sits at the centre of Peter’s approach, with objects designed with intention and longevity. Guided by a utilitarian and material conscious mindset, his work is shaped by an interest in how things are made, how they are used and how they quietly interact with daily life.

With a background in photography, image making forms a core pillar of his practice, serving as a way to capture projects as they develop from early ideas into working processes and final outcomes. This observational approach is closely tied to the inspiration he gathers on walks through cities and woodlands, where discarded materials, structures and movement often spark new lines of thought.
