A Journey to Denmark
Just returning back from a 750 km ride to visit friends in southern Denmark. A time away from the workshop & commissions.
I started at the Hook of Holland after the overnight ferry from Harwich, then followed the EuroVelo 12 up the Dutch coast before cutting west toward the German border.
The best part was cruising through little towns, checking out the houses and all the canals criss-crossing the landscape.
Traveling across the boarder into Germany to escape the headwinds the landscape opened up into more farm land. Going from staying on smaller dairy farm campsite in Holland to larger one filled with German caravans. Making my way across toward Hamburg where I jumped on a very busy train to skip up towards the Danish border.
Each day waking up, packing the tent & gear back onto the bike and heading out for the day to the next campsite plucked from the map.
I hope the energy found on this trip can be used on the select commissions remaining this year and allow more time outside of the workshop exploring materials, designs & ideas.
