The images collected across the following pages represent the start of a journey of rediscovery and the resulting inspiration & final creation of an object - The Stories Shelves.

Of course this isn’t a new practice for anyone looking to start a creative outlet or project. But allowing myself to pick up my camera and revisit locations or processes I had discarded in past years, whilst allowing them to be the foundations for new beginnings.

These journeys on foot often lead to an excitement to capture the buildings, shapes and shadows found in quiet corners of South East London.

ACO. was founded with the goal to produce objects in a utilitarian & material conscious way.

My hope is that these publications will form part of an ongoing series forging collaborations between designers, makers, photographers & artists.

Founded in January 2020 by Peter Haynes. A Designer & Maker from Kettering, England. Now based from a workshop & studio space in Peckham, London.

Inspired by the journey.
